This apprenticeship is designed for first-line managers such as Supervisors, Team Leaders, Project Officers and Shift Supervisors who work in the private, public or third sector. The qualification is suitable for first-line managers in all sizes of organisation with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. This person has met the grade for the Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor end-point assessment. They understand how to lead people, manage individuals and teams, manage projects and build relationships with others. They know how to use emotional intelligence to communicate effectively when managing their team and ways to give clear support and guidance to achieve operational goals. They have knowledge of organisational financial processes, governance and budget management.
This person is self-aware, has strong communication skills and is able to build and maintain effective customer and colleague relationships. They confidently lead people to achieve team objectives and manage day-to-day tasks within their team. They can apply problem solving techniques to make workplace decisions and implement projects to improve the work of their team. They share good practice with others and reflect on their own performance act on the feedback that they receive.
This person demonstrates resilience and accountability. They take responsibility for managing difficult situations and actively seek the views of others. They are flexible to the needs of the organisation and are creative, innovative and enterprising when suggesting solutions to work challenges. They act in a professional manner by setting an example of inclusive behaviours such as trust, openness and authenticity.
