This person understands the purpose of coaching and mentoring within an organisational context and can develop strategies to overcome organisational barriers to coaching. They understand the skills, behaviours, attitudes, beliefs and values that an effective coach or mentor requires and the need to manage relationships ethically.
This person can apply a range of coaching models to coach others and is able to explore the expectations and boundaries of their stakeholders. They can establish and build effective coaching or mentoring relationships with clients at a senior/strategic level. They can review clients’ development needs and progress towards achieving their goals, maintaining relevant records in line with organisational requirements.
This person has undertaken at least 52 hours effective coaching or mentoring at an executive or senior level. They can reflect on all coaching or mentoring activity, feedback and supervision to reach conclusions about their own performance.
