Lidl Ireland Graduate Development Programme

The individual has attended several relevant professional events during their graduate programme, including department open days within the business as well as graduate experience exchange forums. The individual has also attended various Graduate Careers Fairs to represent the business and the programme itself to future graduates.

The individual attended presentation skills training as part of their graduate programme. As part of this training, the individual developed their ability to create presentations that display information successfully. Similarly, they developed their ability to deliver oral presentations effectively. The individual also delivered several presentations to both small and larger audiences in relation to both work for their department and projects assigned to them as part of the programme.

Scheduling was a significant part of the individual's responsibilities during the programme. The individual was required to schedule meetings with their mentor (a Director) in order to cultivate and maintain their mentorship. Similarly, the individual also scheduled meetings with other individuals on the graduate programme in order to organise and complete a fundraising project with the business's charity partner. The individual also scheduled several events as part of this fundraising project.

The individual completed several projects. During operational training, the individual designed, implemented, and evaluated an operations project related to their programme stream. They presented the project to a team of Senior Managers. In conjunction with others on the graduate programme, the individual developed a fundraising project for Lidl's charity partner. This involved the individual and the Graduate team devising, organising, and executing several fundraising events.

The individual attended work during their operational training and office placements each day on time and conducted themselves in a professional manner. The individual also participated in several rotations within teams of their relevant stream's department.

Upon commencement of the programme, the individual read and agreed to the business's Employee Handbook which contains the business's conduct policies and procedures. The individual was required to sign a form to acknowledge that they had read and understood the content of the policy.

The individual attended several courses as part of their programme. These courses include Insights, First Steps of Leadership, Communication Workshop, Project Management Training, and Presentation Skill Training.

The individual developed several leadership skills over the course of their programme. As part of the programme, they attended leadership development courses including an Insights day to identify their style of leadership, a communication course and a leadership development programme.
